Video is dead! Long live video!
The modern age of video has long begun. Much time has passed since the vhs tape got stuck in the recorder. The internet is – still – on the rise. Accessible “to go” and accompaniing every person with a decent mobile flat rate. The popularity of social media rising rapidly led to a vast increase in producing social media content. In order to provide their customers with information and spread the word about their products, marketeers need audiovisual content.
It’s only natural that corporations often hire several movie production companies to design, film or render their videos. Therefore, the look of the videos is not always consistent, the content sometimes not clearly branded, the graphic elements vary.
Problem: the absence of consistent definitions and overall guidelines.
Solution: the development of a corporate design manual for video and corresponding packaging elements.
And that’s where we can help you with! As professional movie producers well designed video concepts is what we do at our daily basis.
For the premium motorhome manufacturer HYMER we designed a packaging toolkit.
Our process:
1. Orientation: Analysing the existing videos and the customers’ needs in a joint workshop. The guiding question is which communication format and design elements will pay off in the long run.
2. Development: Defining a concept, which adapts the company’s corporate design for screen and in particular the medium “moving pictures”. Creating drafts and styleframes.
3. Realisation: Creating the final elements and fine tuning them together with our customer. The generated elements are for example a logo ending with claim and language localisations, text inserts, pointers.
4. Handover & Usage: The result of our work is a package of open data, ready for everyone to use. As well as a guideline with helpful tips and examples of usage, to ensure that the elements are inserted correctly.
This packaging toolkit will guarantee a standard of quality and reflect the brand’s design in all communication channels – even if you change video suppliers.
The development of a corporate video packaging is a long lasting investment in your brand!
