How best to demonstrate a company’s excellence in replacement parts for a industry exhibition? This was the question posed to us by Herth+Buss, a leading manufacturer and supplier of spares for cars and trucks ahead of the renowned ‘Automechanika’ in Frankfurt.
Of course – we were more than happy to find an answer for them, immediately focusing our attention on moving images – the tried and tested means to show off a new vehicle. We worked closely with our client to consult during the concept development stages and added in our knowledge and research in the storyboarding phase, taking control of the project in its entirety during pre-production.
We had five hot summer weeks to execute full production of the film, not helped by a heat-wave sweeping across our city.
Thankfully the guys’ experience, skill and determination led us through 3D modelling, animation, texturing, lighting and film rendering to produce the finished article, a realistic other-world in which Herth+Buss’s history and expertise is fantastically brought to life.
We’re extremely proud of what we were able to produce for our client, who were able to successfully premiere and impress the assembled guests at Frankfurt’s Automechanika.
The all important behind-the-scenes!

Preproduction: Storyboarding the transformation of a mobile into a corridor of containers.

Production: Developing from our storyboard on 3D software.

Making final adjustments to the rendered version. A touch of color-correction, irradiation and unsharpness and we’re ready to go!
